The cottage where my grandmother was born. While it still contains relatives who have lovingly looked after it, they have left the front wall untouched. My great grandfather Jim was a postman who used to rest his bike up against that very wall. Before the internet, he was the one who spread the news around. Reading letters to those who were illiterate and delivering messages and clothing packages from relatives in America.
