St Brigid’s round tower in Kildare is not only climbable, but it is also the second tallest one ever built, measuring 33 metres (108 feet) tall. It was originally constructed in the 6th century, with a renovation occurring in the 12th century, it is made out of Wicklow granite.
The unusual garden "Victors Way" is located just outside of the village of Roundwood in Co. Wicklow and while the 22 acre property features small lakes, stunning views and forested areas, it's a scenic purposeful walk with a focus on meditation.
There's something very inspiring, especially for a writer, about the gentle clatter of cups and saucers, whirring of the old timber ceiling fans, smell of freshly baked scones and murmur of conversation, along with calm feeling and sense of knowing that this is always how this has been done at the Windsor Hotel in Spring Street Melbourne.
The wide Mill Bay Boardwalk in Narooma, N.S.W, is one of my favourites as the 1.3km walk takes your right over the inlet and gives you the option of heading out to the break wall and ocean, where there are more spectacular views.
